For weddings, we minimize camera shake by recording on a tripod for the ceremony and a monopod for the reception. We record the ceremony continuously from an appropriate place near the altar. At the reception, we edit in camera so that we can create a long-version recording that includes the cake cutting, toasts, first dance, etc. We use video lights if conditions require it. We also can offer a shorter "highlights" version, using digital nonlinear editing.
